Overview

India will take on Australia in the second ODI of the five-match series in Kolkata tomorrow. After winning the first game, the Indian will be brimming with confidence and would be keen on carrying their momentum forward. On the other hand, the Aussies will be desperate to make amends for the defeat in Chennai.

The weather in Kolkata has been very bad for a few days now and the curator has already been very open about how the conditions haven't been ideal for preparing the Eden wicket. We expect the pitch to be sluggish and that means, the slower bowlers will come into play. Overall, the Eden has always been a great place for the batsmen and given the smaller boundaries, we feel that we will see quite a few big ones.

As far as team changes go, India might go unchanged. That said, there would always be a temptation of playing Ravindra Jadeja in place of Kuldeep Yadav who was clobbered in Chennai. The Aussies too might not consider wholesale changes, but all-rounder Ashton Agar's inclusion cannot be ruled out.

Probable 11

IND- Virat Kohli(c), Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvaneshvar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal.

AUS- Steven Smith(C), David Warner, Hilton Cartwright, Travis Head, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Nathan CoulterNile , Adam Zampa.

Players who cannot be ignored

Rohit- Rohit struck his highest ODI score of 264 at Kolkata. He also scored his maiden Test ton at Kolkata.

N Coulter-Nile- Nathan Coulter-Nile rattled the Indian top-order with three quick wickets in Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey in the Chennai ODI.
