Overview 

The fourteenth match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will have Comilla Victorians (CV) and Chittagong Vikings (CGV) facing off against each other. The Sher-e-Bangla national Stadium, Dhaka will once again, be serving as the venue for the high-octane game. This’ll mark the second encounter between the two franchises in the ongoing edition of the tournament.

Having won their previous match with utter conviction, Comilla Victorians are unlikely to alter their playing XI. Liton Das and Jos Buttler can open the innings for their side, followed by the prolific batsmanship of Imrul Kayes. The batting can be provided with more backbone for the middle-order in the form of Marlon Samuels, Alok Kapali, Dwayne Bravo and captain, Mohammad Nabi. Spinners, Arafat Sunny and Rashid Khan along with pacers, Al-Amin Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin can provide teeth to the bowling attack.

Misbah-ul-Haq has not had the greatest luck as captain in the current season of the BPL and he’d be hoping for a win desperately. In terms of the opening pair, the left hand-right hand combination of Luke Ronchi and Soumya Sarkar will have to fire from the beginning and must be supported by the middle order batsmen in the form of Jermaine Blackwood, Anamul Haque, Tanbir Hayder and the skipper, himself. All-rounder, Liam Dawson can be given a game in order to work in tandem with spin all-rounders, Sikandar Raza and Sunzamul Islam. The pace department can be constituted by Taskin Ahmed and Subasish Roy.
