Overview

After facing off each other in the exciting and enthralling Test series, India and South Africa are set to lock horns in the six-match ODI series. While the visitors are known to have all the bases covered in the limited overs format, the Proteas thrive on a strong home record even in the coloured clothing.

AB de Villiers' injury opens a spot in the middle-order that du Plessis confirmed will be filled by Aiden Markram, meaning Khaya Zondo will have to wait to make his debut. The rest of the batting is familiar, with JP Duminy coming off a run of good scores in the domestic one-day cup. Lungi Ngidi may have to wait for his first fifty-over appearance if South Africa opt for Morne Morkel, with Imran Tahir likely to start as the sole specialist spinner.

India seem set to become more flexible with Ajinkya Rahane's role after having pegionholed him into the opening slot earlier last year. He could be playing at No. 4 given there will be pace on offer throughout the innings in conditions in South Africa and England, where the World Cup will be played. They seem to be set with whom they want at Nos 5, 6 and 7: Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni. Another decision they will have to make is whether they play two specialist spinners.

Durban's surface can sometimes be a little slower than others around the country So equal for everyone.

Probable 11

IND- Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane(60%)/Manish Pandey(40%), MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami(20%)/Shardul Thakur(35%)/Umesh Yadav(45%), Yuzvendra Chahal(80%)/Kuldeep Yadav(20%).

SA- Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Chris Morris, Andile Phehluckwayo, Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel, Imran Tahir.

Overview

After a riveting league round of 40 matches, the BBL 7 has reached its knockouts stage which is starting tomorrow with the Perth Scorchers and the Hobart Hurricanes taking each other on in the first semi-final at the Perth Stadium.

Shaun Marsh may open the batting with Michael Klinger, while Mitchell Marsh will bat at 5. The Scorchers will, however, be without the services of the left arm spinner Ashton Agar who is off to join the Australian national T20 squad that will tour New Zealand for the tri-series against England and the Blackcaps.  The Southpaw all-rounder has been replaced in the squad by the right arm off spinner Will Bosisto who is a handy middle-order batsman as well.

Paine has batted at the top of the order for the Hurricanes in the past and that’s where he will be slotted again. He is not a big power hitter and not suited for the middle and lower order.

Squads:

Perth Scorchers:
Adam Voges (c), Cameron Bancroft, Will Bosisto, Tim Bresnan, Hilton Cartwright, Mitchell Johnson, Matthew Kelly, Michael Klinger, Mitch Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Haydan Morton, Jhye Richardson, Ashton Turner.

Hobart Hurricanes:
George Bailey (c), Jofra Archer, Cameron Boyce, Dan Christian, Alex Doolan, Ben Mcdermott, Riley Meredith, Simon Milenko, Tim Paine, Nathan Reardon, Tom Rogers, Clive Rose, Matthew Wade.

Probable 11

HBH- Doolan, Wade, McDermott, Bailey, Christian, Reardon/Paine, Milenko, Archer, Boyce, Rose, Meredith.

Overview

The Tri-series involving Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe was going pretty much in the home team’s favour until of course the penultimate match where they lost by a huge 100-run margin and never quite regained the lost touch.

Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman and Subashis Roy left out from the squad, Bangladesh need to make three changes. Tamim Iqbal and Mosaddek Hossain are set to slot into the batting line-up, but the team management's biggest headache will be to pick three spinners out of six.

Sri Lanka have to make at least two changes from their last Test. With Angelo Mathews sidelined with a hamstring injury and Sadeera Samarawickrama dropped, Kusal Mendis and Rangana Herath are set to return. There may be a toss-up between Lakshan Sandakan and Akila Dananjaya with the latter's impressive performance in the ODI tri-series likely to fetch him a Test debut.

Probable 11

BAN- Liton Das, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Taijul Islam, Mosaddek Hossain, Abdur Razzak/Nayeem Hasan.

SL- Dimuth Karunaratne, Dilruwan Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, Dinesh Chandimal, Niroshan Dickwella, Rangana Herath, Suranga Lakmal, Lahiru Gamage, Kusal Mendis, Dushmantha Chameera/Lakshan Sandakan/Akila Dananjaya, Danushka Gunathilaka/Roshen Silva.

Overview

Their problems mounted when they were swatted aside in the first T20I but a clinical show in the second game means they now have a chance to end the tour end with a silverware.

Ross Taylor and Tom Blundell - who scored a hundred on Test debut against the West Indies - have been called up for the final game. Colin Munro misses out with a slight hamstring strain, while Glenn Phillips has been released back to his domestic side, Auckland, where Mike Hesson wanted the wicketkeeper to "evolve" his game. Tim Southee, who was rested for the second game, returns.

Pakistan are likely to go with the same eleven that produced their best performance of the tour at Eden Park. That may mean Sarfraz persists with batting at No. 4, given the success of the strategy in Auckland.

Probable 11

NZ- Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Tom Bruce, R Taylor, Colin de Grandhomme, T Blundell, Mitchell Santner, Ben Wheeler/A Kitchen, Ish Sodhi, T Southee, Trent Boult,

PAK- Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Umar Amin, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir, Rumman Raees.

Overview

However, the whitewash is no longer on the cards after Australia were marginally the less rubbish side with the bat in Adelaide - although it threatened to be a close run thing, which was quite a feat given England were 5 for 8. Travis Head kept his while others around him lost theirs with 96, before Tim Paine finally put the chase to bed.

Steven Smith has hinted that Glenn Maxwell, who was snubbed in the original squad, could find a place in the side having come in for the injured Aaron Finch. Cameron White would be the man under pressure given a lean run since his surprise recall. Mitchell Starc, rested in Adelaide, and home-town boy Jhye Richardson are the other pace options.

Sam Billings, David Willey, Dawid Malan and Jake Ball are England's squad players yet to get a game in this series and they will struggle to find a spot in Perth unless the view is taken that it's worth some rotation. The first three of that quartet are also in the T20 squad. For Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali and Joe Root this is their last outing of the tour - they have been rested from the T20 tri-series.

Probable 11

AUS- David Warner, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Tim Paine, Andrew Tye/A Zampa, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc/Jhye Richardson, Josh Hazlewood.

ENG- Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran/David Willey, Mark Wood.

Overview

England have got over the dismal Ashes outing by rolling over Australia in the ongoing five-match One-Day International series. The visitors have already won the contest in the coloured clothing and the last couple of matches are going to dead rubbers for them.

Head is most likely to replace Finch at the top. Not only did he find some form with 58 from 47 balls for Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League, but on Australia Day last year, Head put on a record 284 with Warner on the way to an Australian total of 369 against Pakistan. Maxwell, meanwhile, has been added to the squad as batting cover.

Morgan has suggested England will play their strongest XI in pursuit of two more victories but Liam Plunkett's hamstring injury will cause him to miss the last two games and will lead to at least one change, with Tom Curran and David Willey vying for a chance. There may also be a temptation to give a debut to Dawid Malan at some stage.

Probable 11

AUS- David Warner, Travis Head, Cameron White, Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Tim Paine, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.

ENG- Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran/David Willey, Mark Wood

Overview

The Match 38 of Big Bash League BBL 7 is a dead rubber as both the Perth Scorchers and the Adelaide Strikers have already made it to the semi-final of the tournament. However, they would still like to finish the league stage on a high and walk into the knockouts with some positive momentum.

The good news for the Scorchers is that Jhye Richardson is back. The right arm quick was called up to the Australian squad for the ODI games against England, but he has been released now and is available for selection for tomorrow’s game.

As far as the Strikers are concerned, they will once again take the field without their regular skipper Travis Head. The left-hander had joined the squad for the last game, but now has been recalled to the Australian ODI outfit and will be absent tomorrow. Colin Ingram will take over the leadership duties, while Kelvin Smith will replace Head in the XI.

Probable 11

Overview

The three-match T20 series between New Zealand and Pakistan might lack the bedlam and the hype but it is expected to be far more competitive and intriguing contest than the ODI series. After a nightmare in ODI series,  Pakistan has already suffered a humiliating loss and as the scoreline suggests, Kiwis go one up in the short series. Kiwis once again proved their stature in formidable 20 overs format outplaying the opposition in all three departments.

Kane Williamson is likely to return after sitting out the first game with a side strain. Trent Boult will come back into the side too, while it is Tim Southee's turn to have a rest.

Pakistan played a somewhat surprise XI in the opening game, leaving out two experienced batsmen in Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez. The move didn't work out and there will be another reshuffle, with Shehzad expected to return.

Probable 11

NZ- Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson, Colin de Grandhomme, Anaru Kitchen, Glenn Phillips, Tom Bruce, Mitchell Santner, Seth Rance, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult.

PAK- Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Aamer Yamin, Rumman Raees/Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir.

Overview

The ongoing tri-nation series has been going only the way of hosts Bangladesh ever since it has started with the other two teams struggling to make their presence felt. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka have fought closely when clashed against each other but have capitulated in front of the home side.

With Kusal Perera almost certainly unavailable with a side strain, Danushka Gunathilaka is likely to come into the the XI. Asela Gunaratne's spot also looks a little shaky, though perhaps he will stave away a challenge from the newly-arrived Dhananjaya de Silva for at least one more match. A slight niggle for Nuwan Pradeep means Dushmantha Chameera also stands a chance of playing.

Bangladesh are unlikely to make any changes to the XI that trounced Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Probable 11

BAN- Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Nasir Hossain, Sunzamul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman.

Overview

Big Bash League has reached its peak now! It’s a high time and at this stage, the encounter between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Renegades can most probably clear the semi-finalists.

Thunder’s top order is in terrific form! The opening combination is performing in almost every game especially Usman Khwaja sublime form.Mitchell McClenaghan and Gurinder Sindhu are handling the pressure well in the initial overs in almost every game. They are bowling with a decent economy rate and can crucial in the upcoming games. The leggie Fawad Ahmed too impressed with his tight lines.

Now, Pollard is in the side for Renegades! He can be a big boost to any team for which he plays. He didn’t have a good previous game and got out early but his inclusion in the eleven can be hurting for the opposition. Renegades are left with 2 games now and if Pollard will fire, they are surely playing the semifinals then.

Probable 11

MLR- Tim Ludeman, Matt Short/Beau Webster, M Harris, Dwayne Bravo, Mackenzie Harvey, Tom Cooper, Kieron Pollard, Jack Wildermuth, Kane Richardson/Jon Holland, Chris Tremain, Brad Hogg.

SYT-  James Vince, Kurtis Patterson/Ed Cowan, Shane Watson, Aiden Blizzard, Chris Green, Arjun Nair, Ben Rohrer, Jay Lenton, Fawad Ahmed, Mitch McClenaghan, Gurinder Sandhu.

Overview

Having played and lost two Test matches already, Virat Kohli‘s formidable India side has been on the receiving end of a relentless brunt of criticism. The fact that they travelled to South Africa with such confidence, despite their under-preparedness was one of the highlights of the ordeal.

There has been talk that South Africa might go without a spinner - as they have done in their two previous Tests at the Wanderers - and beef up their batting, but the injury to Temba Bavuma might have changed the equation a little bit. If Keshav Maharaj is indeed left out, it could open the door for batsman Theunis de Bruyn or allrounder Andile Phehlukwayo. Chris Morris is away on paternity leave. Aiden Markram, who was off the field for parts of the Centurion Test with a left quad strain, is fit and will open.

Indications are that Ajinkya Rahane and Bhuvneshwar Kumar seem set to make their way back into the side, but at whose expense? The men under threat are Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin (because of the pitch) and one out of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. Don't count against an all-seam attack. Parthiv Patel, ordinary with the big gloves in Centurion, could lose out to Dinesh Karthik, who doesn't have too much long-format match practice behind him: he only played four first-class matches in the 2017-18 domestic season, and only kept wicket in two of them .

Probable 11

IND- Shikhar Dhawan/KL Rahul, Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Parthiv Patel/Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya/Ashwin, Rohit Sharma/Ashwin/Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami.

SA- Hashim Amla, Dean Elgar, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis, Aiden Markram/Thenius de Bruyn, Thenius de Bruyn/Chris Morris/Andile Phehlukwayo, Quinton de Kock, Vernon Philander, Morne Morkel, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada.

Overview

The Match 36 of the Big Bash League BBL 7 will be a bottom of the tale clash where the 7th placed Sydney Sixers will go head to head with the 8th placed Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Both the teams are virtually out of the tournament now and this is more a battle of pride than anything else.

The inclusion of Nathan Lyon has added variety and experience to their bowling and the captain Johan Botha will look up to the veteran off spinner to give the team the control in the middle overs tomorrow.

SCG pitch traditionally offers some help to the spin bowlers, it’s very much possible that the Stars opt to go with two spinners and in that scenario, the left-arm spinner Michael Beer might get a go. The rest of the XI should remain the same with Kevin Pietersen featuring as the lone overseas player.

Probable 11

MLS- Kevin Pietersen, John Hastings, Jackson Coleman, Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Ben Dunk/Rob Quiney, Evan Gulbis, Peter Handscomb, Michael Beer/Daniel Worrall, Seb Gotch, Liam Bowe.

Overview

Bangladesh, on the other hand, are sitting pretty at the top of the points table with two bonus-point victories and have already qualified for the finals. They rolled over Zimbabwe the last time they met in the opening game of the series by eight wickets and will know the team in red has improved enormously since then.

Zimbabwe's trouble against left-arm spin means that Sunzamul Islam is likely to return to the playing XI. Mohammad Saifuddin could be benched as a result.

Zimbabwe could be switching wicketkeepers to give Taylor some relief from back trouble. Craig Ervine's form may raise eyebrows but he is a long-term No. 3 and is likely to be given another chance.

Probable 11

BAN- Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Nasir Hossain, Sunzamul Islam/Mohammad Saifuddin, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman.

The Big Bash League (BBL) will resume tomorrow after a rest day in the weekend with the Melbourne Renegades hosting the Adelaide Strikers for Match 35. Generally the Renegades are a very strong team at home, but that hasn’t been the case this season. They have played at the Docklands Stadium thrice in BBL 7 and lost twice.

White is with the Australian national team at the moment and took part in the 3rd ODI game against England, he has decided to feature for the Renegades tomorrow before joining back the Kangaroo squad for the 4th game of the series. His arrival certainly strengthens the Renegades’ squad as he is not only an experienced top order batsman but an astute captain as well.

The Strikers bowling has been doing very well and that’s been one of the main reasons why they have fared as well as they have done so far in the tournament. While the young Rashid Khan deserves all the praise that he is getting, one must not forget the contributions of the veteran Peter Siddle and the lanky tall pacer Billy Stanlake either.

Probable 11

MLR- Tim Ludeman, Marcus Harris, Cameron White, Dwayne Bravo, Tom Cooper, Kieron Pollard, Brad Hodge/Mackenzie Harvey/Matt Short, Jack Wildermuth, Kane Richardson, Chris Tremain, Brad Hogg.

ADS-  Alex Carey, Jake Weatherald, Travis Head, Colin Ingram, Jonathan Wells, Jake Lehmann, Michael Neser, Rashid Khan, Peter Siddle, Ben Laughlin, Billy Stanlake/Liam O'Connor.

Bravo, Maxwell, Cooper

Overview

Pakistan and New Zealand recently locked horns in a five-match One-Day International series. While the Kiwis were clinical in their approach, the visitors were rusty and erratic. Subsequently, the Black Caps annihilated them and registered a clean sweep in the series.

New Zealand have left out Boult and Ferguson from the first ODI, and brought in a whole host of new faces. They will want to give plenty of them a run out during this series without losing any of their ruthlessness; they have, after all, yet to be beaten in this home season.

With Shoaib Malik out, Haris Sohail becomes even more important to Pakistan as an all-round option. Hasan Ali should recover from the groin strain that kept him out of the fifth ODI, while Mohammad Amir is also expected to return.

Probable 11

NZ- Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Glenn Phillips, Tom Bruce, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Ben Wheeler, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi.

PAK- Ahmed Shehzad, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Aamer Yamin, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali/Rumman Raees, Mohammad Amir.

Players who cannot be ignored

Munro, Hafeez, Phillips

Overview

Expectations of this Sri Lanka team were not high. They had spent much of 2017 losing lavishly in all corners of the world, dropping catches, batting like dolts, and bowling with little venom. Yet, even by those standards, this has been a dire start to the new year. They are yet to win a match in a tri-series featuring the sixth and tenth-ranked sides. If they lose this next game, they will have crashed out.

With Wanindu Hasaranga having had two modest outings, Sri Lanka may play left-arm wristspinner Lakshan Sandakan in Sunday's XI. Asela Gunaratne's place is also slightly under threat - perhaps from Danushka Gunathilaka.

Zimbabwe are unlikely to change the XI that brought them

ZIM- Hamilton Masakadza, Solomon Mire, Craig Ervine, Brendon Taylor, Sikander Raza, Malcolm Waller, PJ Moor, Graeme Cremer, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani.

Players who cannot be ignored

Taylor, Raza, Parera

Overview

The ongoing One-Day International series between Australia and England has gone exactly the opposite the way the Test series fared. It was all about the dominance of the home side in whites when they piled on the runs and took wickets for fun.

Australia look set to throw everything at England in an attempt to keep the series alive, reuniting the big three fast bowlers for the first time since the Sydney Test. Josh Hazlewood was due to play in Brisbane but was hit by the illness running through the Australia camp, while Pat Cummins was rested. Legspinner Adam Zampa will have to come back into the mix as well, logically as a swap for the failed recall of Cameron White. Tim Paine is set to return in place of Alex Carey, although the debutant keeper was a rare bright spot in Brisbane.

There is no need for England to change unless injuries spring up. That's tough on the squad players, but victory in Sydney would open up the chance to try a few different things with the series wrapped up. Conditions in Sydney could see the spin trio come to the fore again.

Probable 11

AUS- David Warner, Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Tim Paine, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa.

ENG- Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid.

Players who cannot be ignored

Finch, Smith, Root

Try to Make ur Own Team with some changes.

Captain & Vice-captain Options : Smith, Finch, Roy, Buttler, Hales, Bairstow, Head & Stoinis.
