 Real Madrid

• Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in the Real Madrid squad for the UEFA Super Cup against his former club, although the Portugal international hasn't featured for Zinedine Zidane's side since the Champions League final in June.
• Gareth Bale limped out of training in the build up to Tuesday's match but has also travelled with the squad and should be fine to play.

 Manchester United

• Phil Jones and Eric Bailly will both serve two match bans in UEFA competition. Manchester United have been testing a back three in pre-season and could stick with this system despite the absence of the aforementioned duo.
• Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are vying for a position in attack.
• Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young remain long-term absentees for United.
• Jesse Lingard missed training in the build up to Tuesday's match with muscle fatigue that has kept him out of their last two pre-season games. He remains a huge doubt here.
• Jose Mourinho has also hinted that Nemanja Matic may not start against Madrid, which would mean Michael Carrick or Marouane Fellaini starts in midfield.
