Overview
India and Sri Lanka will lock horns for one final time in the ongoing three-match ODI series in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The momentum is with the Men in Blue as they had trounced the visitors by 142 runs in the second game in Mohali. The team from the emerald isle experienced the similar proceedings they have endured all year after a magnificent show in the first game of the series. However, India are the firm favourites to win the series and stamp their authority over the opponents to end the year on a high in the 50-overs format.
The last time India played at Visakhapatnam, against New Zealand in 2016, Amit Mishra took a five-for. If the pitch on Sunday is anything like how it was last year, India could opt for Kuldeep Yadav's wristspin over Washington Sundar's fast offbreaks.
Mathews, who hit an unbeaten hundred in Mohali, had some fitness concerns leading up to the game but was declared fit on Saturday evening.
