Overview 

This will be the first game of kpl 2017 and you should already know that Manish Pandey won't be available for this clash as he is in Lanka playing ODI series.

Stuart Binny will lead Belagavi Pathers for the initial games and will enjoy the services of RCB pacer S Arvind. On the other hand, Vinay Kumar will lead Hubli Tigers. 

Since this is the first game of the season, there could be some surprises on the way and the batting or even bowling order can
perplexing. 

Dark Horses worth considering 

Stalin Hoover- A middle/lower order batsman, who also bowls medium pace. Played KPL last yr and also was a part of Karnataka in the interstate championships in 2017. 

Krishnappa Gowtham- The middle order batsman, who is also a decent off spinner will have a lot to contribute. Currently, one of the leading blokes in Karnataka cricket and has also been a part of Mumbai Indians in IPL.

Praveen Dubey- The leggie had a great time picking wickets in the last season. He is going to be leading the spin attack this time around. 

Players who cannot be ignored 

S Binny- He should bat in top-4 or 5 and might also bowl a few overs. In this format and since it is a local league, he becomes a crucial pick. 

V Kumar-  We all know he has decent numbers to show in this format. We see him being a threat with the new and old ball. 

S Arvind- He is crafty as we have seen in the IPL. Should open the bowling. Watch out for his slower balls. 

M Agarwal- He will open the batting and will go hammer and tongs from the word go.

Weather & conditions: It is going to be a cloudy day in Bangalore, but as we have seen in the IPL, the Chinnaswamy track should aid the batsmen. Also because of the altitude, the ball will fly and we might see lot of sixes today.
